- Hello Alexandra, could you introduce yourself?

My name is Alexandra Guerain, I'm a fashion content creator. I love fashion and interior design, but my greatest passion is my 7-year-old daughter.

- How would you describe your interior style? What's the connection between your interior and your personal style?

My style is clean, minimalist, and brutalist, which aligns well with my fashion style—minimal yet edgy.

- In your opinion, what is the best combination for an interior?

Honestly, I don't believe there are combinations to avoid because anything is achievable. However, I really like the combination of chrome with wood or chrome with polished concrete, for example.

- If we understand correctly, you built this house entirely! Tell us about it.

Yes, I had this house built, and it was completed in September.

- What is your favorite place in your home and why?

I think my favorite part is the ground floor for all the diverse elements it contains—the curves, niches, high ceilings, raw concrete, stainless steel kitchen, Japanese toilets (haha). But otherwise, I prefer my bedroom because it's my sanctuary.

- What motivated you to embark on this project?

I wanted to do this because I couldn't find anything to renovate that I liked, and it has always been my dream to have a house that reflects me, as the house is truly my haven and anchor point.

- What was the most exciting/your favorite step?

The result is undoubtedly the most exciting step, seeing the project come to life after the 3D images from the architects, it's fantastic.

- What was your biggest challenge? Any anecdotes to share?

The biggest challenge is, of course, the unexpected and having to give up on certain ideas due to technical or financial reasons.

- How did you choose the materials? What do you think are the interior design trends that suit you the most?

I left it to my architect and entrepreneur, in whom I have 100% confidence, to choose materials based on what was most ecological and suitable for different parts of the project. The central element for me is concrete, which is found in various forms throughout the house. I think the current chrome trend suits me the most.

- Did you hunt for many pieces in your home?

There aren't many furniture pieces, as you can see, but I have some thrifted pieces like my desk and chair from the workshop, or my dining chairs. I'm currently looking for a large vintage armchair for the living room.

- What do you like about NV GALLERY? What is your favorite piece?

The piece I love the most from NV GALLERY is my EGO mirror from the Tribute capsule collection designed by J’aime Tout Chez Toi, which is in my living room. The great thing about NV is that it's a mix of timeless and ultra-trendy pieces at affordable prices, bringing a bit of freshness to the French decorating scene.

- What tip would you give to someone starting a construction and renovation project?

Patience and having a solid support system!

- What is your typical day like?

My days never look the same, but they are structured around taking care of my daughter with school activities. Then, I usually go out in Paris to create content or shoot at home for my fashion look videos. I often have lunches and meetings. In the evening, I'm at home with my daughter, or I attend events and dinners with brands I have ongoing projects with. I can also spend my day in front of the computer answering emails, doing admin work, or organizing. I go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week as well.
